Keopathana is a Franco-Laotian painter who explores various visual arts techniques, including acrylic painting, watercolor, and digital creations. She has been drawing and painting for over 16 years, starting with preparatory classes for art school entrance exams, followed by courses in drawing, painting, and printmaking at the Maison des arts d’Évreux (Normandy) and at the Beaux-Arts studios in Paris.
Keopathana uses imperfections, glitch effects, imperfect lines, and accidents as elements of sublimation. The work of surrealists, particularly Magritte, as well as the luminous darkness of Enki Bilal’s works, strongly influences her work. She draws inspiration from cinema, such as the films of Wong Kar Wai and David Lynch, and from music like Post-Punk, Electro-Pop, and Synthwave.
